Happy 5 Months!!

Our Little Haleigh is a whole 5 months old!! Where has the time gone?!! She officially turned 5 months this past Saturday, July 21. She is becoming so much more alert everyday!

On a unhappy note, Haleigh was diagnosed with Eczema about a week ago.  It has been a rough and itchy experience for our sweet little angel so far, but she is doing as well as she can with it. We have learned much about eczema and are steadily learning new tricks to help with her itching. On a positive note, our Pediatrician told us that she will most-likely outgrow this by the time she is two.  We would love to hear of any rememdies that you eczema mama's have to offer! We are open to all suggestions!  So far, our favorite products have been those of Aveeno! If you ever have to deal with this, Aveeno products are a lifesaver!

With all of the rain we have had lately, we haven't been able to do much stuff outdoors. Haleigh did get to finally wear her "rainboots" (notice the picture below).  The rain has been working in Haleigh's favor though. She has almost perfected crawling! I'm so proud of our little kiddo! She was actually putting one arm in front of the other yesterday! As soon as she gets her legs in sync with her arms, she's going to be unstoppable!

Haleigh loves her grandparents. She had a visit from her "Poppy" last Friday afternoon! She has discovered her voice and she let her poppy hear it! He thought that was really funny! He's decided she was just "preaching" to him.  She really enjoyed her visit with her poppy and is looking forward to seeing Nana and Poppy this weekend! She did have to show off one of her tricks to her poppy!

Drinking Tea From A Cup!

Haleigh loves both sets of her grandparents so much and we are thankful that they get to keep her ALOT!

We're gettting ready to go on a little roadtip to the Beach this weekend to see Aunt Lauren graduate from college and become a Nurse!! Go Aunt Lauren! I can't wait to put new pictures up of our little munchkin playing in the swimming pool and walking across the stage with Aunt Lauren!! I hope everyone is ready for a bottle party!!

In the meantime, Haleigh's cousins Morgan and Maggie are going on vacation too! We already can't wait for them to get back! Haleigh has had so much fun playing with them this summer!  She is going to be LOST when they have to go back to school!

Have a great Week!! Our Mini-Vacation is only a few days away!!

My First Blog

I am completely new to the whole "blogging" thing.  I give full credit to my friend Sylvia James for motivating me to do this.  Thanks friend!  I hope I can be half as creative as you are! I'm sure I will be messaging you soon to learn some of your creative tricks!

Just a little background history.  I am married to the love of my life, Travis Overstreet.  We have been together for six years.  We have a little girl, Haleigh Brooke, that was born February 21, 2012 (3 days after my birthday). She was 7lbs 2oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is, by far, the greatest blessing myself or Travis ever received.

My goal for my new blog is to post about Haleigh's journey through her first year of life.  There are so many things she has already done that are blog worthy.  I'm hoping that, by doing these blogs, I will take more pictures and write about each new thing Haleigh does as she grows.  Haleigh went for a checkup this week with her pediatrician.  She was 15lbs and 5 oz and 26 1/2 inches long. It's amazing just how much she has grown in just 4 1/2 months! She's laughing out loud, rolling over, scooting, and trying to crawl.  She holds her head up well now. We are working on sitting up and she's doing a great job of that too! She loves water! Bath time is her favorite! This week, she has began "talking" to her toys and man is it funny (especially when she feels the need to scream at them)!  Here are a few recent pics of our sweet little angel. Oh, and she is a BAMA fan! Roll Tide!!

I forgot to post her newest discovery- her tongue!! She found her tongue last week (20 weeks old).  Now that she has found it, she thinks it very funny when she shows it off.  She gets really tickled about her tongue :)

This is all for today. I don't think this is too bad for the first post :) I can't wait to learn more and begin blogging more as our sweet baby grows and embarks on new things!
